Going West: Pandemic Portraits

I document artists, LGBT folks, and BIPOC living in the US during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I photograph people in their homes and maintain social distance. I shoot people through door screens, windows, and on their balconies. The goal of the project is two-fold: to capture the feeling of those quarantined during the first few months of the pandemic, and those navigating the world as restrictions change and end. I took while driving cross country from Massachusetts to Oregon in Summer 2020.
