WAKE: Portraits of Survival

These 26 portraits depict queer Oregonians thriving. This collection is a celebration and a memorial. These portraits are a testament to joy and endurance against hardship. This collection of photographs is a tribute to the families we build, both families chosen with love and families bound by blood. It is a series of portraits of queer individuals living in Oregon in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic and a documentation of their collective ability to thrive. This is the culmination of a three-year Pandemic Portrait project and is funded by @regionalarts Make | Learn | Build grant.
